Shortening API

The API is to allow 3rd party applications to use the stnx.at shortening service.

All API calls go to the api URL of the site:

http://stnx.at/api

Parameters

• u (required)
  • The URL that you want to shorten including the http:// or https://
• i 1 or 0 (required)
  • Return just the shortened link, or show the Info page for the link
  • If i = 0 then the shortened link is the only content returned
  • If i = 1 then the Info page HTML is returned
• t (optional)
  • The Title of the page to display
• c (optional)
  • The Context, which is added to the end of the URL as an optional additional string

Example

To shorten the URL http://www.google.com you would send this call:

• http://stnx.at/api?u=http://www.google.com&i=0

Click Stats API

To retrieve the click stats for a short link in a form you can reuse, then you can download the links in either JSON or XML using these links:

  • http://stnx.at/info/<short_id>/clicks.xml
  • Example: http://stnx.at/info/a004/clicks.xml
• JSON
  • http://stnx.at/info/<short_id>/clicks.json
